There’s something about a quiet Georgia morning and an open road that sparks curiosity. So, Kash (my favorite copilot), and I hit the road without a set destination—just a path that carried us from Buckhead, to Madison, Greensboro, Union Point, and Eatonton.
Along the way, I passed a little shop with a name that made me hit the brakes—Antiques & Antlers. The kind of name that just begs you to pull over. Sadly, the shop was closed and the building is now for sale, sitting quietly with untapped potential. But directly across the street? A spot called Treasure Junction, and let me tell you—it lives up to its name.
Union Point’s downtown is like stepping into a postcard from another era. A classic theater marquee still reads WELCOME TO UNION POINT, and a grand old clock above a quiet sidewalk, holding space for the town’s past and (hopefully) future.
But it wasn’t all just window gazing. Here’s a look at a few of my favorite finds from the day:
Vintage Bamboo & Wicker Magazine Table
A perfect piece from the 1980s—bamboo frame, woven drawer, and the kind of craftsmanship you don’t see much anymore. Found its way right into the back of Jolene.
Massive (newer) Iron Windowpane Mirror
Heavy, bold, and full of character. These industrial-style mirrors always elevate a space. Can’t wait to style it.
Henry Link Wicker Nightstand & Matching Mirror
This set was a total win. Classic Henry Link white wicker with great bones—and the mirror was still with it!
This OVERSIZED Mid-Century Lamp
Those scalloped details, the tall shade—it’s giving Hollywood Regency in all the right ways. One of those pieces that makes you stop mid-aisle.
Auguste Rodin Framed Print
Art that feels expressive and unexpected—this one came out of nowhere and had to come home with me.
Grecian-Inspired White Statue
Tucked between clothes racks and DVDs, I found this beauty. Marble-style and dramatic—perfect for a corner moment or a garden revival.
Stacked Drum Set + Georgia Bulldog Leather Football
Not for me, but worth a photo. Loved the vibe—someone’s music room is calling.
These are the kinds of days that remind me why I do what I do. Sure, it’s about the furniture. The ashtrays. The barware. But it’s also about the towns that time and people have simply forgot, and the stories waiting to be rediscovered. There’s so much beauty in the in-between.
Until the next dusty detour…
